Virtual and augmented reality are making a huge difference in modern education. The impact of using such technology in the classroom can be more than we can imagine. Not even can it make the learning process more exciting, but also make it a more profound experience. Surveys conducted among educators show that most teachers think that the use of virtual reality can enhance the coursework in a variety of subjects. The most talked about ones are science, history and social studies. But the statistics show that, unfortunately, only 2% of the surveyed teachers have actually used innovative technology during their lessons. Perhaps we should ask ourselves whether VR and AR are ready for the classroom? While the ed-tech industry is booming, some educators have not been able to keep up with the development of digital technology. Government funding for public schools digital content has totaled up to more than $3 billion per year. Yet, as reported, the change is something that can happen over a year: staff training, building the IT-infrastructure in public schools, securing students private information, implementation of digital content to the curriculum, etc. Even though schools and teachers may not be entirely ready for the new tech-ed approach, digital content, VR, and AR without a doubt will be an inseparable part of the future education.
